Roth Horticulture provides traditional, customer-focused garden care for hotels, private and commercial clients across Berkshire, Wiltshire and surrounding counties.

Our story
A seed was sown in 1978.
Since then, Roth Horticulture has grown and branched out through hands-on work, academic study and practical learning across the UK, Europe and North America.
That experience now underpins everything we do, from ornamental gardens and estate landscapes to commercial grounds and interior planting in prestigious settings.
Today, we’re still growing, and we’re proud to play our part in creating and maintaining planted environments in a sustainable, respectful way.
Meet our owner - Dean
Dean is a qualified horticulturist with over 40 years’ hands-on experience, providing time-honoured professional care to maintain and enhance gardens and landscapes. He is committed to achieving lasting results, high customer satisfaction and long-term garden success through sustainable practices and correct horticultural timing — not “convenient cutting”.
Dean’s background includes owning and running a retail and wholesale plant nursery, working as Head Gardener for high net worth clients across the UK and Europe, consultancy work for a major theme park in France (including Euro Disney), and over 30 years’ experience in interior landscaping.
A tradition of stewardship
We’re traditional in the best sense: trained, methodical and standards-led. Our team is apprentice trained (four years), supported by college learning and the relevant compliance certification. We take pride in doing things properly — turning up when we say we will, working safely, and leaving every area neat and presentable.
Just as important, we aim to build long-term relationships with our clients. We’re here to protect the character of your landscape, support your site’s day-to-day needs, and help deliver a sustainable, aesthetically pleasing environment for family and friends, staff and customers.

Our approach
Every site is different, so we start with an initial consultation to understand your priorities, the condition of the landscape and the standard you want to maintain. From there, we compile a clear programme of works and provide a proposal based on your requirements.
Our programmes are planned around the right seasonal windows, with practical recommendations for ongoing management, so the landscape improves over time, rather than being repeatedly “reset”.
